13 Injured as Commercial Bus Plunges into Ditch on Lagos–Ibadan Way

No fewer than thirteen passengers including the driver in a Toyota commercial bus, were left with varying degrees of injuries after the bus veered off the road and plunged into a ditch.

Traffic report from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps described the accident which occurred on Wednesday in front of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles’ Mountain Top University, Mowe, as ‘serious.’

The Public Relations Officer, TRACE, Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi told newsmen that it was a serious crash because all the passengers including the driver were all injured due to the impact of the crash.

Although nobody died, he explained that the rescue operations were carried out by the operatives of the TRACE and that of the Federal Road Safety Corps, who rushed the victims to Hopeland Hospital at Warewa.

Akinbiyi said, “The lone auto crash occurred around 1.30pm, it was a serious lone accident, all the passengers 13 of them including the driver suffered varying degrees of injury.

“They were 8 males and 5 females and were all rushed to Hopeland Hospital at Warewa”, he added.

Meanwhile, the TRACE boss has stated that flow of traffic was not impeded as operatives were on ground to restore normalcy.
