The Executive Chairman of Olorunsogo Local Government, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju, has officially commissioned the newly completed Elerugba Primary Health Care Centre in Labe compound, Igbeti.
The project marks a big step towards bringing quality and affordable healthcare closer to the people at the grassroots level.
The centre is built to offer essential services like maternal care, child health and other basic treatments for mothers, children, families, and residents of Igbeti and environs in general.
Report says the event drew a large crowd from the community, traditional and religious leaders to grace the occasion.
Some of the key dignitaries In attendance were His Royal Majesty, Oba Bashir Abioye, the Onigbeti of Igbeti Land accompanied by his baales, Baba JG Adetoro, the Asiwaju of Igbeti as well as Vice Chairman, Secretary, Chief of Staff, Leader of the House, Executive Councilors, Supervisory Councilors, and Special Assistants (SAs).
In an address, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju restated commitment to better healthcare service delivery in Olorunsogo, urging all health workers to report to their assigned centres and be present for duty to make sure the new facility runs well and serves the people effectively.
Hon. Olayanju said “On Thursday, I commissioned the newly completed Elerugba Primary Health Care Centre in Labe compound, Igbeti. This project marks a big step forward in bringing quality and affordable healthcare closer to the people at the grassroots level.
“I also inducted more than 150 newly recruited primary healthcare workers in Olorunsogo LG who are among the 3,933 inducted recently by His Excellency Engr. Oluwaseyi Makinde into the Olorunsogo local government workforce.
“We are glad that 85% of them are indigenes of Igbeti, which has really reduced the level of unemployment and boosted healthcare services in the community.
The chairman appreciated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engineer Oluseyi Makinde for his support that made projects like this possible across the state.
Also speaking, The Onigbeti of Igbeti, Oba Bashir Olalekan Abioye, thanked the chairman for bringing developmental and progressive initiatives to Olorunsogo Local government
Baba JG Adetoro (Asiwaju Of Igbeti) gave remarks too, praising the achievement and encouraging unity for more good things to come.
This commissioning is one of Hon. Qozeem Olayanju’s key achievements as Executive Chairman. It shows his focus on health, community welfare, and delivering real results for the people of Olorunsogo.
