Step-by-Step Political Evangelists have inaugurated and sworn in coordinators across the nine local government areas of Oyo South Senatorial District as the group intensifies its organisational activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration took place on Monday, October 19, 2026, during the group’s general meeting held at the Friends of Remi Oseni Office, Agbadagbudu, Ibadan, with members and party stakeholders in attendance.
The meeting focused on strengthening grassroots political engagement, consolidating the group’s organisational structure and enhancing coordination among its members across the senatorial district.
Operating as a mobilisation platform supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC), Step-by-Step Political Evangelists seeks to promote community-level political awareness, encourage wider participation in political activities and strengthen engagement between political stakeholders and residents.
The group is particularly focused on advancing the political aspirations of Engr. Aderemi Oseni, the APC’s Oyo South Senatorial candidate, while also mobilising support for the party’s candidates at the state and national levels.
Speaking at the meeting, the group’s Coordinator, Hon. Farmer Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson, outlined its political objectives, emphasising the need for commitment, teamwork, effective coordination and sustained engagement with the electorate.
She stated that the group would mobilise support for Engr. Aderemi Oseni for the Senate, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli for Governor of Oyo State, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Busari Svensson stressed that the newly inaugurated coordinators had an important responsibility to establish stronger connections with communities, communicate the group’s political message and encourage active participation in the democratic process.
According to her, the group’s approach centres on taking political engagement directly to the people through coordinated grassroots activities, community outreach and neighbour-to-neighbour interaction.
She urged members and coordinators to demonstrate dedication to their assigned responsibilities, maintain effective communication and work collectively towards achieving the group’s stated objectives across the district.
The inauguration of coordinators across the nine local government areas is expected to provide a more organised framework for the group’s activities, improve coordination at the grassroots and strengthen its capacity to reach communities across Oyo South.
Beyond the senatorial district, Step-by-Step Political Evangelists also seeks to expand its political awareness and mobilisation activities across Oyo State’s 33 local government areas, with women playing a prominent role in its community engagement strategy.
The development reflects the group’s ongoing efforts to build a coordinated network of political mobilisers capable of engaging residents at the grassroots level as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections continue to take shape.
Dignitaries at the meeting included Alhaja Asabi Olajide Adijat, APC Women Leader in Ibadan North-East and former Oyo Central Senatorial District Women Leader; Alhaja Adeyinka Adeleke; Mrs. Felicia Adesonoye, APC Women Leader in Ibadan North-West; alongside other party members and stakeholders.
The meeting concluded with renewed emphasis on coordination, collective responsibility and sustained grassroots engagement as the group prepares to extend its activities across the senatorial district and beyond.
