The Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Prince Falana Adebowale Adebayo, has expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his visionary leadership in uniting aspirants under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the forthcoming Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election.

In a statement made available to newsmen, Prince Falana described the consensus arrangement that produced Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as DON, as a testament to Governor Makinde’s unifying strength, strategic foresight, and genuine commitment to internal democracy within the party.

He congratulated Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON on his emergence as the PDP’s consensus candidate, describing him as a vibrant, loyal, and capable individual whose candidature reflects the strength and direction of the party.

Prince Falana also extended his heartfelt appreciation to all the aspirants who stepped down willingly and graciously for the consensus to be achieved, noting that their spirit of unity and loyalty to the PDP has reinforced the party’s chances for total victory at the polls.

“I commend our aspirants for displaying uncommon maturity and sportsmanship. What they’ve done is not a loss, but a sacrifice for the greater good of our party and the people of Ibadan North,” he said.

The Youth Development Chairman equally acknowledged the contributions of party leaders and stakeholders who played pivotal roles in ensuring a smooth and inclusive resolution process, stating that their collective commitment has strengthened the foundation for a successful outing in the bye-election.

He urged all youth in Ibadan North and across Oyo State to rally behind the PDP and support Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON, whom he described as a product of unity, capacity, and vision.

“As youths, this is the time to align with progressive leadership and support a candidate who represents our future. Victory is certain because we are going into this election with one voice and one mission,” Prince Falana added.

The PDP in Oyo State continues to demonstrate internal cohesion and political discipline as it heads into the bye-election with renewed strength and unity of purpose.
