The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, will be crowned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oyo State capital, at a coronation ceremony slated for Friday, 26th September 2025.
This Newspaper exclusively gathered that his nomination has been approved by the state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde.
Our correspondent confirmed that the state delegation met with Ladoja and other members of the Olubadan-in-Council at his Bodija residence on Wednesday.
When contacted, a media aide to Oba Ladoja, Chief Adeola Oloko, confirmed the development to this Online Newspaper.
He said, “Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, 26 September 2025.”
The ceremony is billed for the ancient Mapo Hall in Ibadan.
reports that Ladoja on Tuesday met with the kingmakers at his private residence on Ondo Street, Old Bodija, in Ibadan North Local Government Area of the city.
The meeting, the first since Oba Ladoja’s return following the demise of the immediate past monarch, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, in Ibadan, was held behind closed doors and lasted for close to two hours.
