A statement by Repete, as he is fondly called, in a WhatsApp chat with OYOINSIGHT.COM, said that “No list was submitted by Baba Oke.

“The National leadership of the party met with the stakeholders from Oyo State in Abuja last week Thursday and it was unanimously agreed that the 7 zonal leaders, the two former deputy governors, Ex- Governor Alao-Akala and the APC Caretaker Chairman in Oyo state, Chief Akin Oke should meet and present a harmonised list for the state.

“The meeting was scheduled to hold at the party secretariat but out of respect for the Ex-Governor’s Akala, Chief Akin Oke suggested that it should be held in Ex- Governors House and all the leaders were already at the entrance of his house but he refused to attend to them. The leaders eventually met ( excluding Governor akala, former Deputy Governor, Iyiola Oladokun) at the state party secretariat and they re-affirmed the list submitted by the zonal leaders of the party.

“The National Secretariat intervened and directed both Ex-governor Akala and Chief Akin Oke to fix a meeting for Friday with the promise to send a team from Abuja to witness the Friday’s meeting. This propaganda won’t help the party. Baba Oke didn’t leave Ibàdàn, why are they panicking? Afeez Bolaji Repete
