As part of the activities marking the 55th birthday celebrations of The Honorable Minister for Youth and Sports, Chief Sunday Akin Dare, we are pleased to announce scholarship opportunities for indigent undergraduate students of Oyo State, under The Dare Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme (DUGSS)

This is in furtherance of The Honourable Minister’s Penchant for Youth Development and Growth, as well as providing support for indigent students of Oyo State.

Qualified students will be selected as beneficiaries of this scholarship program, from any University/Polythecnic across the nation.

Details

Sunday Akin Dare is a Nigerian journalist. He currently serves as the Nigeria Minister of Youth & Sports and politician.

He was formerly the Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), an appointment he was nominated for by President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari in August 2019. He is the current minister of youth and sports.

Scholarship Requirements

In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an indigene of Oyo State
  • He/She must be a student of any university or polytechnic in Nigeria
  • Only applicants in 200L and 300L with CGPA of 3.5 and above are eligible to apply

Method of Application

Applicants should attach an introductory or cover letter to the underlisted, which should be sent to:- dugscholarship@gmail.com

  • Admission letter
  • Authorized letter affirming GPA/Transcript
  • Certificate of State of Origin
  • Passport photograph

The duly completed application form must be filled and submitted online latest 29th, June 2021
