The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Idowu Olayinka is allegedly chairing a Senate meeting to hear a petition against him amid tight security.

An Informed Observation from an impeccable source has it that the Vice Chancellor is currently refusing people with counter-arguments to air their opinion in the meeting.
“The controversial Senate meeting ongoing in UI now. Under Police Escort!
“VC is sitting as chairman over issues in which he has been implicated as an interested party, full of partiality and open support for a canodidate.
“Three policemen and an undisclosed number of plain-clothed operatives are right there manning the location of the meeting- ICC.
“Inside, the VC refuses to allow any debate, he is calling members of his own group to make comments and ramifications,” the source alleged.
The source however added that “all decisions made there today will remain void without proper return of the matter to the Governing Council.”
