Coalition Members Weren’t Patient With Makinde, Reasons For The Fallout—Oloko

Abass Oloko, vice chairman of the Oyo State Tourism Board, has said if Femi Lanlehin, and other aggrieved coalition and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had exercised patient, they would have enjoyed Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State.

Lanlehin was the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the 2019 election who, alongside others, stepped down his ambition for Makinde.

Advising opponents of Makinde to stop attacking him at every given opportunity, Oloko, who was reacting to statement by Muideen Olagunju, a former oyo assembly member, who said Makinde did not treat Lanlehin fairly, said that the governor is human and cannot be forced to do some things.

”I have not stopped hearing people say Governor Makinde did this and that. But we have all forgotten he is human. To govern a state is not a tea party. And to govern a state like Oyo requires absolute wisdom and guidance from God. For me, I know Governor Makinde is sincere. It may take time, he rewards loyalty. I can assure you about that.

“Remember when government started, he offered Sen. Lanlehin the chairmanship of the advisory council even before contacting Sen. Alleluyah and he rejected it. Atimes, we need patience to see what the future holds. I believe if Sen. Lanlehin had taken up that position, he would have used it very well to advance the cause of others.
