Ex-Oyo ALGON Boss, Aleshinloye, Picks House of Reps Forms, Unveils Manifesto

The immediate past chairman of Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) in Oyo State and former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area, Prince Ayodeji Abass–Aleshinloye has picked the All Progressives Congress (APC) Nomination and Expression of Interest forms for the Oluyole Federal Constituency.

Abass- Aleshinloye, who obtained the forms last Friday, said his desire to contest for the House of Representatives seat is beyond personal ambition but another clarion call to to serve his people and “give practical expression to collective aspiration for good governance through quality representation.”

The former ALGON chairman, in a statement he personally signed on Sunday, expressed appreciation to the people of Oluyole Federal Constituency, who he said know his track record, and his capacity to serve with passion and deliver. He also acknowledged the supporters’ ability to provide quality followership, guidance and grassroots leadership.

The aspirant used the opportunity to unveil his manifesto to the people in the federal constituency.

He said: “I promise to deliver with all sincerity on the listed major cardinal programmes of action and mobilisation for ultimate success and utmost for the highest. The programme includes: • Quality representation. • Effective oversight functions. • People’s oriented laws for communual and national development. • Women & youth empowerment. • Accountability & regular contacts, town hall meetings with my constituents for feedback & projections.

Abass-Aleshinloye noted that having collected the form, he is in a vantage position to contest at the APC primary election.

“I, You, and We & We are set for victory at the primary election and ultimate victory at the general elections in 2023 because it’s God’s project that will never fail. It’s the people’s project driven by a passion to serve with invaluable, team spirit and collective goal for a greater Oluyole Federal Constituency

“At the beginning of this ‘Project Service,’ the huge financial task involved looked daunting and insurmountable. But with our trust in God and people’s support, the financial task was resolved. To God be the glory.

“I sincerely appreciate the financial support of everyone who made the collection of my nomination form possible. From the humbled to the exalted, the grassroots to the high echelon of the society, market women and men to business executives and top rank ex and serving public servants, family members, friends, political leaders, associates, mentors, mentees and community leaders in almost all 775 communities in Oluyole Federal Constituency.
