The Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde has officially signed the Oyo State Electricity Regulatory Bill, giving residents the power to hold the government accountable for all aspects of power supply.
During the bill’s signing at the Governor’s Office on Friday, Governor Makinde emphasized that Oyo residents now have the authority to demand transparency and efficiency in power generation, distribution, and transmission from the state government. He highlighted that this step exemplifies the workings of a true federating unit, reflecting a commitment to empowering local communities.
