How Oyo Environment Task Force Raked In N6m – Chairman, Ojomo

Oyo Assistant Commissioner of Police, Francis Ojomo, has said that Oyo state environmental taskforce,has so far raked in N6 million for the government and prosecuted over 200 individuals for various offenses.

In his remark, the Special Assistant to governor Seyi Makinde on youth and sports, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa noted that the newly constituted committee would ensure that environmental law defaulters are arrested and prosecuted.

Recall that Oyo State environmental task force, had on Monday, October 5, 2020, through a special tribunal, prosecuted and sanctioned 10 individuals for violating the state environmental laws at the task force office located at Agodi in Ibadan.

Addressing newsmen, the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Barrister Idowu Oyeleke, emphasized that the state would do everything including arresting, defaulters to ensure that efforts of the government in curbing environmental Challenge yields positive result.
