Ibadan Communities Call Out IBEDC Over 4 Weeks Blackout


The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company IBEDC has been accused of neglecting thousands of its customers residing in some communities in Ibadan metropolis.

According to a Save Our Soul Message sent to TheTheClickNewNg the community Leaders alleged that there has been total power outage in Holy Trinity communities comprising of Abayomi Estate, Agbala Itura area, Fagbamila street, Kufeyijin street, Ik Dairo area all in Old Ife road axis of Ibadan North East Local Government area of Oyo State.

According to Alhaji Suleiman Busari of Abayomi Estate, Architect Salako and Pastor Ina lo need Of Agbala area “the Blackout began mid May of 2022 after a reckless Driver hit and fell some poles supplying the communities resulting in power outage that is affecting the Entire Holy Trinity and Environs.


“The incident was alleged to have grounded economic activities in the part of Ibadan.”

The communities are reaching out to IBEDC Monatan District to come to their aid by visiting the affected areas and find a lasting solution to the Blackout.

A check done by this News Medium reveals that activities in the affected communities are totally paralyzed with business owners crying for help from the Authorities of the IBEDC.
