JUST IN: Hotelier, LAUTECH Student Reportedly Killed After Payment Of N5m

A source has confirmed to Akéde Ọ̀yọ́ News that the student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Rachael Opadele, who was kidnapped last Thursday at Abba in Ogbomoso alongside her Boss has been reportedly killed after payment of N5m.

She was killed alongside her boss, Olugbenga Owolabi who owned the hotel she was working.

According to a source, the kidnappers also shot dead the Okada operator who delivered the ransom to them in anger, while the other person is at an undisclosed place receiving treatment.

The source said that the ransom was taken there Tuesday night at Ogbomoso-Ilorin road around Igbon area and that the kidnappers counted the money to ensure it was up to the agreed amount.

But their anger was stoked when they became aware of the presence of soldiers at LAUTECH area who stormed Ogbomoso yesterday ostensibly to provide security sequel to the increasing waves of kidnapping in the area.

“Soldiers were deployed to Ogbomoso yesterday but the bandits thought we invited the soldiers and so they opened fire on the victims and the men who took the ransom money there.”

She added that the corpses would be evacuated this money.

He absolved the traditional ruler of Abaa, Alabaa of Aba who assisted in finding the person who volunteered to take the ransom there disclosing that the people of Abaa are currently pointing accusing fingers at Alabaa.
