Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has approved the total sum of N3.2bn (three billion two hundred and eighty million five hundred and eighty thousand and five hundred and seventy two naira only), for completion and rehabilitation of 7.25 kilometers Idi-Ape Bashorun, Akobo-Odogbo Barracks junction road.
It was disclosed on Tuesday by the Honourable Commissioner for information culture and tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun, during a press briefing at the governor’s office.
Dr Olatunbosun, hinted that the contract would be executed on Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) which would be funded by the State government through Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA) as included in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the contractor.
He hinted that the State government has also included in its plan all those properties and facilities as it has earmarked the sum of N231m as compensations for damages during the execution.
