Makinde Commissions Ultramodern Amotekun Headquarters, Presents Cheques to Families of Fallen Heroes

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State earlier today commissioned the Ultramodern Oyo State Headquarters of the Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed Amotekun corp.

The commissioning took place at Conpole Agbaakin, along Old Moniya-Oyo Road, Akinyele, Ibadan, and involved the unveiling of new blocks of office and donation of a patrol van to the Security Network.

During the commissioning, the Governor presented cheques to the families of members of the corp who lost their lives in service.

Speaking during the presentation, Governor Makinde noted that the state government is giving back to the families of fallen Amotekun operatives to encourage other corp members to give their best pledging that the state will not ignore them.

List of fallen Amotekun operatives who were honoured by the state government

Aderele Muritala Adeyemi, 42 years old who worked in Ibarapa Central and was represented by Aderele Qudus.

Adewuyi Nurudeen Olayiwola, 63 years old from Oluyole Local Government Area was represented by Adewuyi Raphael.

Falola Friday from Ibarapa North was represented by Deaconess Farinto Ruth

Michael Segun Ewerinde from Iwajowa Local Government Area represented by Azeez James Ewerinde.

From Atiba Local Government, Suleiman Quadri was represented by Suleiman Lukman

From Afijio, Taiwo Olagbami was represented by Ruth Olagbami

Salawu Tajudeen Idowu from Kajola was represented by Imam Mustapha Oyeniyi

Bello Asuke, 31 years old from Oyo East was represented by Bello Grace.

Abiola Mutiat, 32 years old from Oyo East was represented by Kamorudeen Abiola.

Azeez Ibrahim from Iwajowa was represented by Azeez Isiaka.

Tijani Babatunde, 34 years old from Atiba was represented by Tijani Saheed.

Salawu Shukurat, 35 years old, was represented by Salawu Balquees.

Meanwhile, the Governor also presented awards to outstanding members of the corp.

Kazeem Babalola Akinro was awarded the most outstanding and committed operative while Oladele Oluwaseun Adelanke was awarded the Most Productive Female Operative.

Fakayode Adebowale emerged as the Best Zonal Coordinator and Saheed Abdul-Ganiyu emerged as the Best Unit Coordinator.
