OmiTuntun Free Health Mission: We’ll prioritize Healthcare Of Our People Olakojo Says As Oyo First Lady Flags Off The Outreach In Oyo Town.

Omituntun Free Medical Mission, a state government project under Ministry of Health in collaboration with the office of the wife of the Governor, her Excellency Tamunominini Makinde, took its outreach to Oyo town for official flag off of the second phase of the free health project.

The Wives of the Chairmen in the three Local Governments, Alhaja Aminat Arowosaye, Mrs Olukitibi and Mrs Sunday Akindele Ojo joined the Chairperson of Atiba Local Government, Hon( Mrs) Mojisola Kafilat OLAKOJO to welcome Her Excellency to Oyo Federal Constituency at General Hospital, Owode, Oyo.

Hon. Kafilat Olakojo, the Executive Chairman of Atiba Local Government, while speaking on behalf of all other four chairmen in Oyo Federal Constituency at the event which took place at the General Hospital, Oyo, welcomed her Excellency, the wife of the Governor and her entourage to Oyo town for the laudable project.

She expressed that, good health is a vital part of human needs in life, that healthcare is to top the priority of every individual, and this can be only achieved when government and individuals make collaborative effort towards it.

She further expressed that the government of the day, under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Mankinde is committed to making healthcare a sector with special treat and that, all chairmen in Oyo will continue to complement that remarkable effort in their respective council areas.

She concluded her opening remark by appealing to people to also support the government by ensuring they give needed attention to their health and value their healthy living.

The Health Initiative tagged “Omituntun Breast Cancer Awareness” is one of the pet projects of Her Excellency in tackling the health Challenges on Breast Cancer associated with Women.

Her Excellency, Engr. Olufunke Tamunominini Makinde while making her presentation appreciated Hon. Olakojo for her insightful goodwill message to the people of Oyo state.

She affirmed that, healthcare will continue to receive best from the present administration and that people should be conscious of their wellbeing, by going for check-up on regular interval.

She visited patients at wards and offered support and prayers.

The outreach was well attended by government functionaries; the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Bashir Bello, Honorable Commissioner for Special Duty, Hon (Mrs) Funmilayo Orisadeyi, Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs, Alhaja Fausat Sanni, Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora, Mrs Bolanle Sarumi Aliyu, Chairman, Oyo State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Gbola Adetunji, PS Ministry of Helath, Dr Mufutau Ayoola among others.
