SOURCE understands that they met yesterday to deliberate on how to select the best among them. Sources, however, revealed that they could not reach compromise. The five of them may likely buy nomination forms today and present themselves for congress tomorrow. Delegates from all across the state will decide who among them will lead the party.

“Baba Abu had summoned a meeting for his house but nobody knew the agenda until we got there. He was told that he is an aspirant too and cannot supervise such a meeting,It was evident that he had a mission. Most of his known supporters were on ground – majorly Unity Forum members. They were going to force others to do their bidding when people who had learnt about the meeting and had moved in quickly rejected the move. The meeting ended in a deadlock. It is not likely we continue this morning,” the source said.

“How on earth do they think they can do such. If we are forcing one of our leaders on them, why would Unity Forum attempt such? If we had not waited when they defected, what would they have met? It is just so unfortunate. Thank God, the meeting was deadlocked,” another party leaders added.

The duo of Omodewu and Wasiu, popularly known as Azuzu, who hails from Itesiwaju and neighbouring Iseyin local government areas respectively were commissioners during the administration of Abiola Ajimobi, late former governor of the state.

Gbadamosi, who hails from Kajola local government, was chairman of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM, under the administration of Lamidi Adesina, late former governor of Oyo Statw. Boladale was once council chairman in Iseyin while Akinleye was a former party scribe. He hails from Itesiwaju.
