The Oyo South Senator Elect, Barr. Sharafadeen Alli today paid a visit to commiserate with Traders who lost goods in Bodija Plank Market Fire Incident.
The former secretary to the state government, while addressing the leaders and affected traders, in his words “This incident saddens my heart, I can only pray that Allah in his infinite Mercy’s replenish all that you’ve all lost, everything happens for a reason, we can’t question God, rather we should accept what happened in good faith”.
“We thank God that no life was lost in the incident that destroy goods, Machines and other materials worth millions of naira, Let’s believe in the will of Allah over any circumstances we found ourselves, he gives riches and when he takes we can’t question him”.
The Senator Elect Promise support to the affected traders with an undisclosed amount, while also assuring them of his unalloye and continue support, adding that he will ensure that plank Sellers association benefits emensely through his various empowerment programs that will be realed out as soon as he’s sworn in at the national Assembly.
Appreciating the kind gesture of the Senator Elect, The Bale Onipako of Bodija Market Alhaji Sulaimon Inaolaji, went memory lane to narrate how Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli had in the past, when he was the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman helped many traders without asking or taking anything in return, he prayed that God guide, protect and give the Senator the wisdom to represent the good people of Oyo South Senatorial District Well.
The Chairman of APC Bodija Market, Elder Sunday Akinpelu JP, while addressing Newsmen thank the senator elect for turning up for his people, “The sad incident is one that left many in disbelief, We take everything that happened in good faith, adding that he believe that all affected traders will rise above the current disapointment, and stand on their feets again. Our Senator has shown compassion by coming to commiserate with my people, just yesterday Hon. Akinremi Olaide JAGABAN sent his people to us, I want to believe that our people cherish their kind guesture, aside them coming to visit during this trying time, they’ve always been of help in one way or the other over the years.
Elder Sunday Akinpelu JP also use the opportunity to call on all well doing Party individual to assist in any little way they can, adding that it will surely go a long way to ease the burden the fire incident have caused the affected traders.
