The member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi Jagaban has today, physically visited the site of the explosion that rocked some parts of Old Bodija in his constituency yesterday evening.
As part of his visit, he paid a condolence call on a former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Iyiola Oladokun whose residence was one of the houses impacted by the explosion. He also visited the home of an important stakeholder in Oyo State Engr. Idris Adeoye, as well as the residence of Pastor Austin Ologbese of Breakforth Church, as their homes were also greatly impacted from the blast.
While inspecting the areas of damage, Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban interfaced with former Chief Medical Director of UCH, Dr. Temitope Alonge who has been available to oversee rescue operations and manage on-the-ground situations at the site of the explosion.
Hon. Olaide Akinremi also directly interacted and commiserated with families who were present at the areas of impact in the course of his visit, while extending his condolences to those who had since sought safe haven, and already relocated their families out of the affected areas.
Lastly, Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban prayed for the souls lost due to the explosion, while also praying that God Almighty replenishes the loss suffered by affected members of the Bodija community.
