The Oyo State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has begin the sale of expressions of interest, and nominations form for the positions of the Chairmanship and councillors, ahead of Local Government Elections.
In a release made available to newsmen by the Party publicity secretary Engr. Akeem Olatunji, Signed by the party Chairman Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro states the party primary election guidelines.
The statement reads:
“Following the Notice of Election for the 2024 Local Government Council Elections by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) in Oyo State; the State Working Committee (SWC) of the Oyo State PDP Chapter; under our Party’s Constitution (2017 as amended) hereby releases its Timetable and Schedule of Activities in conformity with the OYSIEC timeline below;
Friday 7th of July-Tuesday 11th of July,2023:
Sale of expression of interest and Nomination Form and Ad-hoc Delegate Form
Wednesday 12th of July,2023:
Last day of submission of already completed expression of Interest and Nomination Form.
Thursday 13th and Friday 14th of July,2023:
Screening of Chairmanship and Councilorship Aspirants.
Saturday 15th Jul 2023:
Screening Appeal, Councilorshi,p, and Chairmanship.
Monday 17th of July,2023:
Ward Congress to elect Ad-Hoc Delegates.
Tuesday 18th of July, 2023:
Ward Congress Appeal.
Wednesday 19th of July,2023:
Chairmanship Congress (Candidate Nomination).
Thursday 20th of July,2023:
Appeal on Chairmanship Congress.
Friday 21st of July, 2023:
Councilorship Congress(Candidate Nomination).
Saturday 22nd of July,2023:
Appeal on Councilorship Congress.
Monday 24th of July,2023:
Presentation of Certificate of Returns to all Candidates.
