Independence Day: APC Chieftain Lowo Obisesan Calls for Unity, Patriotism, National Development
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Oloye Amofin Lowo Obisesan Adisa, has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary, urging citizens to remain committed to the unity, peace and development of the nation.
Obisesan, in a goodwill message marking the anniversary, acknowledged the significance of October 1 as a day for Nigerians to reflect on the country’s journey since independence while renewing their commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
He called for greater patriotism, unity and mutual understanding among Nigerians, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in addressing the challenges confronting the country.
According to him, the progress of Nigeria requires the contributions of citizens across political, religious, ethnic and social divides, with a shared commitment to peace, democratic values and national development.
The APC chieftain also urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and continue to support initiatives aimed at improving the lives of citizens, strengthening democratic institutions and creating opportunities for the younger generation.
He further called on political leaders and citizens alike to place the interest of the nation above personal considerations, noting that Nigeria’s future depends largely on the collective efforts of its people.
Obisesan congratulated Nigerians at home and abroad on the Independence anniversary and expressed optimism that the country would continue to overcome its challenges and fulfil its potential as a great nation.
