Olubadan’s Demise: The Entire Ibadanland is Bereaved; Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi Condoles Sons & Daughters of Ibadanland

Following the transition of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji (Aje Oguguniso 1) following public announcement on Sunday 2nd January 2022, Member of the House of Representatives, representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, and a true born Ibadan son, Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi (Jagaban) has commiserated with all sons and daughters of Ibadanland.

Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi stated that himself being a true son of Ibadanland also mourn the demise of Oba Saliu Adetunji whom he described as a father to all, one whose doors was wide open to every Ibadan son and daughter, and one who prioritized the progress of Ibadanland while his reign lasted.

“We have lost a great and noble king, a caring father and an elder statesman whose impact and contributions in all spheres was well felt. I thank God for granting him long life, living till 93 years of age. He lived and ruled well, and he will always be remembered”, Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi stated.

Conclusively, Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi prayed for the repose of Kabiyesi Saliu Akanmu Adetunji’s soul, while also praying that God Almighty continues to abide with Ibadanland as we look forward to the future.
