Human Resources Assistant

Job Description:
  • We are looking for an HR Assistant who is passionate about our mission of driving financial inclusion in Africa.
  • The ideal candidate will play an important role in assisting the Human Resource Department with the daily running of our organizations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist HR with the process of recruitment, including vetting candidates, assisting with interviews and issuing employment contracts.
  • Support internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department.
  • Compile and maintain paper, digital and electronic employee records, including holiday and sickness leaves.
  • Assist the HR department to process payroll and the documentation of employee compensation and benefits.
  • Support HR-related training programs, workshops and seminars.
  • Enter employee data into computer database.
  • Coordinate logistics for new hire orientations.
  • Write and submit reports on general HR activities.
  • Oversee HR events and meetings and coordinate management-employee communications.
  • Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A Degree in Human Resources management or in related fields.
  • Not less than two (2) years’ experience as an HR Assistant or related position.
  • Experience with recruitment is an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Knowledge of employment law and human resources responsibilities.
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and HR-specific software programs.

Job Description:
  • Creation and management of documents, including project status reports, account documentation, and product marketing materials.
  • Facilitate good communication between and provide assistance for teams working on a project, including the marketing, research and development, and testing teams.
  • Analyze data, report daily performance and use it to create reports on industry trends, which will be used to develop business plans.
  • Develop new relationships and maintain good relationships with existing customers and clients.
  • Training and onboarding of new business development/sales team members.
  • Organize and attend client meetings as well as meetings for internal staff; take notes during team meetings and compilation of attendance.

Job Description:
  • Responsible for the availability, stability, reliability, and operation of card payment systems by monitoring, supporting, and optimizing production systems and services
  • Take overall responsibility for the investigation and resolution of system downtime affecting the channels and payment applications
  • Proactive monitoring of processes and transactions leading to the identification of potential glitches
  • Work closely with the Operations team to suggest and recommend new initiatives that could improve customers’ experience using our mobile application and payment system.
  • Work closely with the internal settlement, products, operation, and compliance teams to fully understand payment channel requirements.
  • Develop and adjust business development plans for connecting payment channels based on different sets of strategic priorities.
  • Analyze and interpret application logs and traces in other to identify failures and resolve the identified issues
  • Taking up technical engagement with payment service providers.
Qualification and Requirement:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any related field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least five (5) years of related experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of different payment systems, especially Biller (VAS) transaction, and funds transfer system
  • Good understanding of local transfers (Interbank/Intrabank) and VAS transaction process flow.
  • Experienced in supporting and managing financial (cards) transactions processing system
  • Advanced knowledge of card payment systems and a good understanding of card transaction process flow.
  • Good knowledge of payment system integration.

Channel Integration Specialist

Job Description:
  • Managing Java/Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing
  • Designing, developing, and delivering high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code
  • Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
  • Prepare and produce releases of software components
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
  • Design architectures for systems integrations
  • Identify, debug, and advise on system errors or architecture issues.
Qualification and Requirement:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven hands-on Software Development experience
  • Proven working experience with over 3 years in Java development
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
  • Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
  • Profound insight into Java and JEE internals (Class loading, Memory Management, Transaction management, etc.)
  • Familiar with Redis, and MySQL, understanding of web service, HTTP protocol
  • Experience in the Spring Framework 2 and hands-on with AWS cloud server.
  • Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JS)
