The Sad incident that happen yesterday at about 10pm at the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Abolongo in Oyo Town has Reportedly claim three life’s Akéde Ọ̀yọ́ learnt.
Recall that Akéde Ọ̀yọ́ had earlier reported that some unknown gunmen invaded the premises of the Nigerian Correctional Centre Abolongo, freeing Inmates.
Akéde Ọ̀yọ́ learnt that A soldier and two personnel of Amotekun Corps in Oyo State are among those killed during the attack of correctional centre in Abolongo, Oyo Friday evening.
Akéde Ọ̀yọ́ reliably gathered that the soldier was killed by the gunmen while he was trying to scrutinize them on their arrival at the facility.
His actions did not go down with them as they sense the danger coming their way, so they immediately shot him.
They eventually gained access into the entrance, with sporadic shooting to scare away everyone.
Immediately Signal was sent for re-enforcement which the men of the Amoteku operatives quickly roll in to face the gunmen.
Two men of the Amotekun fell to the bullets of the assailants, during gun duel, source revealed.
Eyewitness to the centre told Akéde Ọ̀yọ́ that the attackers used dynamite bombs to destroy the centre’s fence by which they gained easy entry and freed the inmates.
The identity of the soldier and Amotekun personnel is yet to be confirmed as at the time of filling this report.
