Fatal Crash on Lagos-Ibadan Highway Claims Four Lives

In the early hours of Monday, a tragic accident occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan highway in Ogun State, resulting in the loss of four lives.

Details of the incident reveal that a luxury bus with registration number ACA533ZP collided with another vehicle, which was not registered.

The victims of the crash were identified as four adult males, who unfortunately did not survive the collision.

According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), a total of 21 individuals were involved in the accident, including 13 adult males and eight adult females. Among them, three sustained injuries—consisting of one male and two females.

The FRSC spokesperson, Florence Okpe, attributed the cause of the crash to excessive speed, which led to a loss of control.

The injured victims were promptly taken to Famobis Hospital for medical treatment, while the deceased were transferred to the Idera mortuary.

Anthony Uga, the FRSC Sector Commander in Ogun, stressed the importance of adhering to a sensible speed limit, especially during periods of low visibility at night.

Uga extended his condolences to the families of the victims and urged them to reach out to the FRSC for further details regarding the incident.
