Iseyin: Seclusion Rites Begin On Wednesday As Aseyin-designate Makes Grand Entry

The people of Iseyin, in Iseyin local government of Oyo State who have been upbeat about who their new monarch is took to the streets on Monday to welcome the Aseyin-designate, Prince Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri 3rd who made his maiden official entry into the ancient town around ten in the morning.

 

Prince Oyebola was met at kilometer two, Moniya-Iseyin road by members of Iseyin traditional council, community leaders, religious leaders, youths associations, royal family members and leaders of Fulani, Hausa, and Igbo communities in Iseyin local government.

 

The new Aseyin was welcomed into the town with joyful traditional songs, laced with different drumbeats and various skillful displays by the Bikers Club.

 

He later proceeded on his motorcade to historical areas in the town, waving and dancing with the joyous people, before arriving at the old NYSC Camp, Oluwole, where he addressed the people of the town

 

In his speech, Prince Olawale Oyebola appreciated God for his life and the mercy he received to have ascended the throne of his forefathers.

He extended his appreciation to the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for maintaining what he called a worthy standard in governing the State as well as physical development that the people have been enjoying during his tenure while also commending other people that gave him support to become the new Aseyin of Iseyinland.

 

”I give all glories to God Almighty for keeping us all to witness this day, he alone can do it and we appreciate his mercies on us.

”I appreciate our governor, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for giving us a new Oyo State that we and our children can always be proud of, he has kept the standard of governing which is commendable, especially for us in Oke-Ogun and the rest of the State, when we talk of physical infrastructure and human capital development.

”I want to promise that Iseyin people will continue to give our support to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu and our own Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, till we achieve the best ever wished for our country and State.”

Olawale went further to extend a hand of love to those he contested the throne with, saying they remained his brothers who will give him support to succeed in giving Iseyin the best leadership role.

Meanwhile, the seclusion rites that were reported to commence immediately after the welcome programme for the new King was postponed till Wednesday, as the fifteenth day of Oro festival (Itadogun)’s curfew falls on Tuesday.
