Jagun Olubadan, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Advocates for Persistent Peace Efforts at SPSP Induction

Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland and Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort has called on the members of Society for Peace Studies and Practice to continue not to relent in their advocacy for peaceful Society.

Sanusi said this while speaking as special guest at the the induction of new members into the SPSP during a dinner which the end of the capacity building workshop of the Of the Department of Human, secucity and peace Studeies, University of Ibadan held at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort.

The Jagun Olubadan who presented a certificate of membership of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) to Mr. Tijani Olalekan popularly known as Double T on behalf of the SPSP maintained that peace and security are the bedrock of the society

Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi emphasized the critical role that peace studies play in fostering societal harmony and development. He praised the efforts of the SPSP in promoting peace, security, and humanitarian work.

He commended Mr. Tijani Olalekan for his dedication to these values, welcoming him as a new and valuable member of the society.

“Peace and security are the bedrock of any thriving community. The work done by the Society for Peace Studies and Practice is invaluable, and I am delighted to see dedicated individuals like Mr. Tijani Olalekan being recognized for their commitment to these ideals,” said Chief Sanusi.

Other speakers at the event, including Prof. Daud Sangodoyin and Prince Arowosafe AROSAD echoed Chief Sanusi’s sentiments. They lauded the initiative and expressed their support for ongoing efforts to build a more peaceful and secure society in Oyo State.

The ceremony highlighted the collective commitment of Oyo State leaders and the broader community to advancing peace and development. It also underscored the importance of education and capacity-building in achieving these objectives, reinforcing the SPSP’s mission to cultivate a culture of peace through continuous learning and active engagement.

Some of the dignitaries at the events includes the Oyo State Commissioner for Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport, Prof. Daud Sangodoyin, the Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Prince Arowosafe Arosad, the Chairman-Elect of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo, and the Chairman-Elect of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen.
