Accountant

Job Specifications:

Job Description:

The Accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. The duties shall include but NOT limited to interpreting and analyzing complex accounting records of financial statements. These may include general accounting, costing or budget data in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A combination of the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience and 5 or more years of accounting experience and successful completion fully qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Knowledge of auditing practices and principles
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations

Job Description:

The instructor provides quality instruction to students in a classroom or laboratory setting. She/he prepares teaching materials and outlines for professional Certification courses in ICT (including CISCO certification), administers and marks test papers, delivers on-site training and online courses training, and maintains class curriculum along national and international standards.

Qualification and Requirement:
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of professional experience in Computer Science or Information Systems, Computer Engineering or any related field.

    The Finance Officer-Student Receivables is charged with the specific tasks associated with tracking the payments. The duties shall include but NOT limited to posting details of transactions, keeping totals of accounts, monitoring the accounts to ensure that payments are up to date, reconciling billing vouchers and collections activities, sending reminders to overdue accounts. Ensures that Student Accounts Receivables are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.

    Job Description:

    The Graduate Support Coordinator is charged with the responsibility of working closely with individual program areas to ensure that program operations function in compliance with AUN Graduate School standard operating procedures. The duties shall include but not limited to;

    • informing and keeping the program’s faculty and students up to date with new and current graduate studies policies, procedures, and requirements as prescribed in the School of Graduate Studies Catalog.
    • Maintaining a wide variety of graduate school materials (e.g. inventory of graduate school catalogue, application and website location, test score, letter of recommendation etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of materials for internal use and distribution, as required.
    • Serving, as appropriate, as a first point of contact in support of graduate students and faculty members who are seeking resolution to graduate-related challenges.
    • Providing information to applicants (when appropriate) and graduate students, both newly-accepted and continuing, on all aspects of the program(s): admission requirements, funding, procedures and deadlines.
    • Assisting the Dean in program reviews to ensure successful accreditation and facilitates activities at the school level.
    • Maintaining record of Graduate School program, and course assessment through development of learning objectives, appropriate strategies, and feedback.

    Job Description:

    The Coordinator for Athletics is charged with the responsibility of coordinating the use of all athletic facilities by students’ groups of the University. The duties will include but not limited to planning, organizing, and supervising all athletic awards events, intramural sports/game schedules, transportation, lodging, and meals for out-to-town athletic events. An ideal candidate would be responsible for maintain an active athletic program that promotes good sportsmanship and student development, developing training options and/or improvement plans for students to ensure exemplary operations in the area of athletics, compiling budgets and cost estimates based on documented program needs as well as maintaining a current inventory of supplies and equipment and recommend disposal and replacement of equipment when necessary. Establish physical and academic eligibility requirements for participation in each sport, and verify each athlete’s eligibility. Oversee the process of cleaning, repairing, and storing all athletic equipment. Oversee the physical care and condition of the sport pitches and sites of athletic activities, supervising their building, equipping and maintenance.  Perform any other duties as assigned or delegated.

    Qualifications and Requirements:
    • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized tertiary institution
    • Teaching certificate with physical education endorsement.
    • At least 3 years of teaching and coaching experience.
    • Experience to carry out the responsibilities, including knowledge of exercise and weight training, sports activities, and physical conditioning.
    • Knowledge of overall operations of an athletic program.
    • Ability to manage budget and personnel, and coordinate athletics activities.
    • Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible, and serve as a role model for all students.
