JUST IN: Ido Legislatures Re-instate Nine Suspended Supervisory Councilors

Ido Local Government Legislators have made the decision to reinstate the nine supervisory councilors who were previously suspended. This move comes after a series of events that unfolded within the council, leading to tensions and petitions against the council chairman, Hon. Sherif Adeojo.

TODAY SPLASH recalls that the supervisory councilors had voiced their grievances by challenging the council chairman’s authority and expressing a vote of no confidence in him. Additionally, they supported their stance with a multitude of petitions. As a result, the legislative arm of the council took action and suspended the councilors on grounds of insubordination and the creation of unnecessary political tension.

However, recent developments have taken a positive turn as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) State Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, and Ido Local Government leaders called for peace. In a significant step towards reconciliation, all petitions have been withdrawn, and a directive for peace has been issued.

During today’s house sitting at the council Secretariat, the suspended supervisory councilors were reinstated. The Majority leader of the house Hon. Yahaya Abdulazeez, emphasized the importance of their commitment to abide by the rules governing their respective offices. In light of their promise, it was deemed imperative to reinstate them to their positions.

The following supervisory councilors, who were previously suspended indefinitely, have now been reinstated:

HON, BUSARI KOLAWOLE (Super for Environment), HON. ADELEKE TUNDE (Super for Information), HON. NIKE YUSUF (Super for Education), HON. TAJUDEEN ADEKOLA (Super for Disability), HON. OSHO ADEBAYO (Super for Health), HON. OLADIMEJI SULAIMON (Super for Agriculture), HON. OLALERE YUSUF (Super for Special Duties), HON. OLADOKUN SEMI (Super for Youth & Sports),and HON, OYENIRAN SEGUN (Super for Agriculture, LCDA).

With the reinstatement of these supervisory councilors, The Leader of the House Hon. Rafiu Omotosho Charge the Supervisory Councilor’s operates in unity and focus on serving the community.

Adding that the he Supervisory councilors have been given an opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to their respective roles and contribute positively to the development and progress of the local government.

As the reinstated Supervisory councilors resume their duties, it is anticipated that they will prioritize the well-being of the community and work collaboratively with other council members to address the pressing needs and concerns of the Ido Local Government.
