In a bid to reconcile the warring parties in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-West geopolitical zone of the country, a meeting has been scheduled to hold between the Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, in Ibadan on Thursday.

Akéde Ọ̀yọ́ learnt that the meeting will hold at the Oyo State Government House, Agodi, with PDP leaders on the side of Fayose as well as those with Governor Makinde in attendance.

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike will also be in attendance.

Our source gathered that both Makinde and Fayose were hosted by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesome Wike at the River State Government House on Sunday to broker peace between the duo.

After meeting Wike, Fayose and Makinde boarded a flight to Akure on Monday morning where Makinde attended the Southwest and Miyetti Allah meeting , while Fayose left for Ekiti.

In a chat with our correspondent, the spokesperson to ex-Governor Fayose, Lere Olayinka, confirmed that Makinde and Fayose were in Port Harcourt but could not confirm what Wike discussed with them. His words:
” Fayose was actually in Port Harcourt but I don’t know what they discussed. Fayose usually go to Port Harcourt and he returned to Ekiti on Monday via the Akure International Airport. ”

Recall Governor Makinde and Fayose have been at loggerheads over the control of the party’s structure in the Southwest.
