The Oyo State Joint Task Security Agencies popularly known Operation Burst has accepted responsibility and taken a legal step of arresting and detaining officer whose video where he was seen harassing, torturing a woman over an alleged wearing of ‘indecent’ dress flooded the internet during the weekend.
The Commander of the Force, Captain Usolo apologised to the families of the victims of the brutality, and further disclosed that those officers involved have been arrested for prosecution.
Akedeoyo.com had earlier reported how a Soldier Identified as Adesina was seen in a video brutalising, assaulting and harassing a woman at the Beere area of Ibadan over an alleged wearing of ‘indecent’ dress.
This newspaper also recalls how the nefarious activities of the operatives of the Operation Burst have been on the increasing side. Incidents of Soldiers trampling on residents’ rights in some places has become a novel experience in Ibadan.
On the final note, Usolo stressed that the erring officers have been have been replaced.
