The Oyo state House of assembly will today reinstate the Ido local government executive chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo and chairperson of Olorunsogo local government, Mrs. Oluwakemi Juliana after weeks at home on suspension.

Oyo lawmakers ratified the indefinite suspension of Hon. Ade-Ojo, the Ido chairman after the council lawmakers pronounced his suspension on the 9th of August.

The motion for Adeojo’s suspension was moved by the Deputy Leader of the house, Hon. Omotosho Rafiu from ward 3 and seconded by the Chief Whip of the House, Adebowale Adedeji from ward 7. Adeojo was accused of a lack of accountability and poor infrastructure across the 10 wards that made up the Local Government Area.

Badmus Mutiu was asked to step aside from their seats on August 11, during a plenary session of the Oyo Assembly lawmakers. Rt. Hon. The allegation against Juliana by the traditional rulers and the council excos members includes a Lack of respect for the Traditional Council, No payment of benefit for the past 13 months, No accessibility of the chairperson to the citizens, and unaccountability.

According to information gathered this morning by weaterndailynews.com, it was confirmed that the two suspended local government bosses will be asked to resume work with immediate effect.
