In a startling incident, a private jet, carrying approximately 10 individuals, including Very Important Personalities (VIPs), crash-landed in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The event unfolded around 11 am at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, where the jet, bearing the registration number N580KR, veered off the runway and came to a halt in the adjacent bush.
Prompt response teams, including firefighters and rescue officials from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), were swiftly dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, there were no reported deaths or casualties resulting from the crash.
The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau’s spokesperson, Tunji Oketunmbi, was contacted for further details. As of the time of this press release, he is yet to provide additional information. The situation remains under investigation.
