Let the Teachings of Ramadan Be Part of Your Daily Lives—ILAKA Urges Muslim Faithful

The Chief Of Staff to the Oyo State Government and Ladilu of Oyo Kingdom, Chief Oyebisi Ilaka has admonished Muslims to imbibe the teachings and lectures of the Holy Season of Ramadan, adding that such teachings should be part of their daily lives.

Chief Ilaka made this call during the Ramadan Lecture of Oyebisi Ilaka Foundation which took place on Saturday at the Durbar Stadium, Oyo Town, Oyo State.

The Chief of Staff while expressing his gratitude to God and participants for the success of the 2021 Ramadan lecture urged the Muslim faithful in Oyo State and beyond to make us of this Holy Month to offer prayers to God for the success of the Oyo State Government, Engr Seyi Makinde’s administration, Oyo Town, Oyo State and Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the guest lecturer at the event, Khalifah AbdulMajeed Alawiye Alawaye encouraged the founder of the Foundation, Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka to give more attention to the development and tapping of human resources from Oyo town.

Alhaji Alawaye also applauded the Engr Seyi Makinde-led Oyo Government on the timely reconstruction of Akesan Modern Market that is at almost 90 percent completion, the unprecedented reconstruction of Gedu-Oroki-Isale Oyo-Ashipa Road by a reputable & Indigenous Contractor, Street lighting and others.

However, Alawiye stressed that Governor Makinde should ensure that investments and establishing of Industries and capital-based business also be located in Oyo Town and not only in the State Capital.

Chief Bisi Ilaka also used the occasion to present Ramadan Palliative Packages to Party members and dignitaries who attended the event while expressing his gratitude to them for attending the Ramadan lecture.

Notable dignitaries at the event include the Chairmanship Candidates from Oyo Federal Constituency, Hon Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, Hon Akeem Olukitibi, Hon(Mrs.) Mojisola Kafilat Olakojo represented by Mrs. Lola Alao, Hon Sunday Akindele Ojo represented by Hon(Mrs.) Oyebamiji Toyin and other Councillorship Candidates.

Other notable attendees: the Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon Mojeed Mogbonjubola, Hon Kunle Yusuff (MON), Engr. A.K. Amodu(Ahmark), Hon Akinwande Maroof, Alhaji Ademola Santos, Hon Dikko Salami, Prince Bayo Adeyemi, Hon Kazeem Kangara, Party Chairmen, Local Excos and Ward Party members.
