The National Examination Council (NECO) announced on Tuesday the release of the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results. According to Prof. Dantani Wushishi, the Registrar of NECO, the result summary reveals that 61.60 percent of candidates achieved five credits, including English and Mathematics.
Compared to the previous year, there has been a slight decrease in the number of candidates who scored the required credits. In 2023, 12,030 candidates, representing 0.07 percent, met the criteria, as opposed to 13,594 candidates, representing 0.13 percent, in 2022.
The total number of candidates who registered for the exam was 1,205,888, and out of these, 1,196,985 candidates actually sat for the exams.

1. Visit the official NECO result-checking portal at https://results.neco.gov.ng/.
2. Select the examination year and choose the type of exam (SSCE Internal, SSCE External, BECE, NCEE, or GIFTED).
3. Input the token sent to the mobile number you provided during registration.
4. Enter your registration number.
5. Click the “Check my result” button to view your score.
