Oyo Govt. Sets to Launch Oyo Anti-corruption Agency Next Week

Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on Friday hinted that the State Anti Corruption Agency (OYACA) would be launched next week.

This agency, according to the governor is ensure accountable, transparency and judicious management of public funds as political office holders.

The governor disclosed this when the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) and members of its governing council paid him a courtesy visit in his office, Secretariat, Ibadan.

He also spoke on the ICAN accountability index report where the State was rated low in repeatedly in year 2017 and 2018. Makinde explained that his government is working to change the narratives from what was obtained before his emergence

He gave his word on speaking with the ICAN management to revisit the entry grade level, so that the chartered accountants employed by the State would be considered.

The Oyo State Government donated N10 million to assist ICAN in the construction of its Ibadan district society secretariat.
