In a shocking development, Chief Benedict Akika, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State and the founder of the Omituntun Benedict Foundation (OBF), has reportedly been kidnapped.
Akika, who is widely recognized for his advocacy and unwavering support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, was abducted from his residence in Idi Ape, located in the Olorunda Abba area of Lagelu Local Government, Oyo State.
According to initial, yet unconfirmed reports, the assailants were responsible for the death of one individual during the abduction. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
