The 13 suspended Chairmen of Local Government and Council Development Areas has written an apology letter to the State House of Assembly begging for their reinstatement
This Newspaper recalls that an indefinite suspension was pronounced upon the 13 council bosses over their failure to submit a report earth moving equipment in their respective councils.
It was contained in their letter that the failure to adhere by such directive was as a result of “administrative lapses” on their parts, adding that there are ready to do the needful.
Speaking on this development, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin stated that the Chairmen should be ready to tell the house how the administrative lapses led to the failure in submission of the reports.
However, the Speaker referred the letter to the House committee on local government and chieftaincy matters and ordered the committee to report back to the house during its next plenary sitting.
