The fight between Yoruba and hausa at shasha market has took another turn as more than five person’s (5) have been reported dead in Yoruba/Hausa clash occurring in area of Shasha, Ibadan.
Recall that Akéde Ọ̀yọ́ had earlier reported that the death of certain Mr. Adex and pregnant woman by the so called Hausas has triggered the fight.
More than five have been reported dead as at the time of filling this report Akéde Ọ̀yọ́ can confirm.
The community that host students of Federal School of Statistics, Ibadan and also largest Pepper Market in Ibadan has been desolated by both students and other residents of the community. Also many shops and houses that belongs to both Yoruba and Hausa has been razed down by reprisal attacts.
Sources says the fight has extend to Ojoo, Idi Ose and even Moniya.
This Newspaper learnt that Security Operatives have been deployed to handle the situation.
Efforts to reach the Oyo state police public relations officer Mr Gbenga Fadeyi has prove abortive as call put to him was not picked and did not return as at the time of filling this report.
