TRANSITION: Prince Akinremi Jagaban Commiserates with Family, Oyo State, Nigeria Over Demise of Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi; Urges Immortalization of Designer of Nigeria’s National Flag

Following the passing on to glory of a national icon who was born and who lived in Ibadan, Oyo State, late Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi OFR as publicly announced on Wednesday 30th August 2023, the member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives has written to commiserate with Pa Akinkunmi’s immediate family, the good people of Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole.

Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi popularly known as Jagaban stated that national heroes and icons are deserving of applause, adulation, appreciation and celebration while alive, and in death, as late Pa Akinkunmi made a trans-generational contribution to the history of our dear nation, one in which current generation will continue to appreciate his work, and generations yet to be born will come to read and acknowledge his value.

Prince Akinremi Jagaban described Pa Akinkunmi as a man of great intuition and creativity, someone Nigerian youths needs to emulate in passionately loving the country, and in contributing their own quota to the very important growth and development of our dear nation.

Lastly, Hon. Olaide Akinremi offered prayers for the repose of late Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi’s soul. While condoling with his family, the good people of Oyo State, and by extension Nigeria on the loss of this National Icon, he urges the Federal Government to immortalize a man of noteworthy national impact who has just transcended to the great beyond.
