The member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi popularly known as Jagaban has written to eulogize Nigerian workers on this year’s workers day, while also appreciating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his administration’s dedication to improving workers welfare. He stated;
“I celebrate all workers in Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State and Nigeria on this year’s occasion of the workers day, a significant day to celebrate workers in our country and across the world.
Nigerian workers are all men and women of enormous importance to nation building, and your commitment, sacrifices, and contributions have long impacted the growth and development of our dear nation.
I encourage you today to remain steadfast in your duty, and to continue giving valuable contributions in your different work spheres for the betterment of our country, as your efforts from your different ministries, department and agencies generally coalesce into one big result for the country.
While I acknowledge and appreciate the ongoing effort of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to review upward, the minimum wage of workers across Nigeria, I’m also charging all State Governments to toe the same path in due time, as the welfare of workers remain important for us to achieve a truly productive workforce.
Finally, I’m wishing all workers a happy workers day, and it is my prayers that God strengthens you all as you continue to discharge your duties in the interest of the growth and development of our great nation, amen.”
