The Executive Chairman of Kajola Local Government, Mustapha Akeem Olawale, has congratulated the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Edward Ogundoyin, on the successful completion of his tenure as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.

Hon. Mustapha, in a congratulatory message he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Thursday, described Ogundoyin’s leadership of the Conference as exceptional, visionary, and impactful, noting that his tenure has left a lasting imprint on legislative governance in Nigeria.

According to him, the Speaker’s time as Conference Chairman was marked by unwavering commitment to the strengthening of legislative independence across the states, as well as the promotion of unity, cooperation, and mutual respect among State Houses of Assembly nationwide.

Hon. Mustapha noted that Ogundoyin led the Conference with clarity, inclusiveness, and statesmanship, qualities which earned him the admiration and respect of his colleagues across the federation.

He added that the Speaker’s leadership brought renewed vigour to the Conference, positioning it as a more vibrant and responsive platform for legislative development in the country.

“Under his leadership, the Conference recorded notable progress through enhanced inter-legislative collaboration, stronger advocacy for good governance, and a renewed commitment to democratic principles,” the Kajola council boss stated.

Hon. Mustapha further highlighted Ogundoyin’s calm disposition, patience, depth of knowledge, and rare ability to harmonise diverse opinions and build consensus, stressing that these attributes greatly enriched deliberations within the Conference and contributed significantly to its overall success.

He observed that the Speaker’s efforts not only elevated the profile of the Conference of Speakers but also strengthened the Nigerian legislative landscape as a whole.

Reflecting on Ogundoyin’s legislative journey, Hon. Mustapha recalled that the Speaker has served in the Oyo State House of Assembly for close to nine years, during which he has demonstrated consistency, experience, and purposeful leadership.

He expressed confidence that Ogundoyin’s wealth of experience, wisdom, and foresight would continue to inspire greater service to Oyo State and the nation at large.

“As he concludes his service as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers, we celebrate his achievements and are confident that his legacy of purposeful leadership will remain a reference point for years to come,” Hon. Olawale said.

He concluded by congratulating the Speaker once again on his outstanding service, wishing him continued success in his future endeavours, and reaffirming his support as Ogundoyin continues to discharge his responsibilities as Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly.
