A heartfelt tribute has emerged highlighting the profound impact of Balogun Joseph Adeseye Famojuro (the JAF), the renowned right hand man to Oyo governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
In a deeply personal message shared on his birthday, Chairman of Lagelu local government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, JP, described the elder statesman as a visionary mentor who spotted and nurtured potential in young Nigerians, transforming them into confident public leaders.
Kamorudeen recounted how Famojuro actively sought out “young people” inviting them into spaces of decision-making and nation-building.
“He didn’t just notice a few of us. He went on looking,” Kamorudeen wrote. “He believed early in us. He invested time, wisdom, encouragement, and countless hours… into discovering and raising up not just one or two, but so many of us.”
The tribute emphasised Famojuro’s role in making public leadership feel “personal… possible… and easy to carry” for many mentees. Kamorudeen went on crediting Famojuro with seeing potential in him during his formative years, entrusting him with responsibilities that reshaped his life’s trajectory.
“Every time I’ve had the chance to lead since then… I feel your hand on my shoulder. That moment of discovery you gave me changed the trajectory of my life. I’m forever grateful, master,” he stated.
The message portrayed Famojuro’s legacy as living on through the young leaders he prepared, stronger communities, and a renewed hope for intergenerational investment in Nigeria’s future.
Kamorudeen wished for his master, a robust health, enduring spirit, family joy, and the quiet satisfaction of lives positively transformed, including his own.
