The Chairman of Olorunsogo Local Government, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju, has strengthened the council’s security architecture with the donation of four brand new Bajaj motorcycles to Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC and Vigilante Group Of Nigeria, VGN operating within the local government area.

The chairman also presented three repaired patrol Vehicles, Two Vans and one Golf Volkswagen car, to the security team.

The motorcycles and repaired vehicles were officially handed over during a ceremony at the council secretariat, where the chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the communities under his jurisdiction.

Olayanju noted that the donation was part of proactive measures aimed at enhancing rapid response, improving patrol operations and supporting security personnel in effectively combating crime at the grassroots level.

According to him, mobility remains a critical factor in security operations, especially in rural and hard-to-reach areas, stressing that the motorcycles would significantly improve surveillance and operational efficiency of the benefiting agencies.

“Our administration recognizes that security is a shared responsibility. These motorcycles will assist our security people in responding swiftly to distress calls and maintaining visible patrols across Olorunsogo,” he said.

He further assured residents that the local government would continue to collaborate with security stakeholders and community leaders to sustain peace and stability in the area.

Representatives of the benefiting security outfits expressed appreciation to the chairman for the gesture, describing the intervention as timely and impactful. They pledged to utilize the motorcycles judiciously in the service of the people.

Community members who witnessed the presentation commended the initiative, noting that improved security presence would further strengthen public confidence and create an enabling environment for socio-economic development in Olorunsogo.

The donation underscores the chairman’s resolve to prioritize security as a foundation for growth, development and community well-being within the local government.
