The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, has described the Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Professor Musibau Babatunde, as a distinguished economist and seasoned administrator.
Olatunji stated this while joining political leaders and well-wishers across the state and country in celebrating the Oyo SSG on the occasion of his birthday anniversary celebration.
In his congratulatory message on Thursday, the council described the Prof Babatunde as a committed public servant whose contributions to governance in the state have remained invaluable.
The chairman lauded Prof. Babatunde’s tenure as Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, noting that his fiscal discipline, strategic planning and data-driven policy approach strengthened the state’s budgeting framework and aligned development priorities with long-term growth objectives.
According to the statement, his elevation to the role of Secretary to the State Government has further consolidated coordination within the executive arm, thereby, enhancing policy implementation and institutional efficiency.
“Professor Babatunde has consistently demonstrated intellectual depth, calm leadership and an unflinching commitment to the progress of Oyo State.
“His stewardship in the budget and planning ministry laid a solid foundation for sustainable development, while his current role as SSG continues to reflect competence and dedication,” the statement read.
The Oluyole council boss also commended his loyalty to the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, describing him as a dependable pillar in the government’s reform agenda.
While wishing the celebrant many more years in good health and service, the chairman prayed for renewed strength and wisdom for Prof. Babatunde as he continues to contribute to policy formulation and governance in the state.
The council chairman reaffirmed his readiness to sustain collaboration with the state government in delivering people-oriented projects and deepening grassroots development across Oluyole Local Government and Oyo State at large.
