Server Administrator

Job Specifications:

Job Description:

This job role provides troubleshooting and consulting support for the management of IBEDC’s server, storage and Directory Services technologies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages the company’s Active Directory.  
  • Design and manages enterprise server and storage infrastructure for optimal business operations.   
  • Lead High Availability drive for the enterprise server infrastructure.  
  • Reviews future directory architecture solutions and implement life cycle maintenance processes.
  • Develops and recommends best practices processes for enterprise server infrastructure to support daily operations.
  • Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholder.
  • Carries out required server/storage maintenance and security patches.  
  • Provide server and storage capacity planning and ensure availability needs are met.
  • Provide server and storage performance monitoring and statistics.  
  • Carries out other sundry assignments as directed by the Head, IT infrastructure.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage
  • Professional certification is an added advantage.
  • 1 to 3 years working experience in Server Administration, IT Infrastructure.

Exchange Administrator

Job Description:

This job role enhances company-wide communication and collaboration through the management, configuration and support of the Exchange email platform (On-prem & Online) while achieving corporate goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support across the IBEDC Microsoft messaging, and mobility environments.  
  • Manages and administers Exchange On-prem and Exchange Online systems within an Office 365 hybrid environment.
  • Modernize legacy processes through the introduction and pervasive use of new technologies and automation to optimize operations and ensure service uptimes.  
  • Owns and manages all messaging related incidents by ensuring resolution and identification of relevant root causes.
  • Provides support and maintenance of Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access and Microsoft Office Outlook E-mail.
  • Carry out routine checks to ensure protection of email server against intruders.
  • Tracks, analyses and interprets trends in e-mail system data.
  • Creates and maintains policies for email protection and archiving. 
  • Manage file sharing permissions to monitor mailbox quotas or space.
  • Ensure email delivery to destination and monitor email queue.
  • Ensure production environment uptime by running software and hardware diagnosis.
  • Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.  
  • Carry out other sundry assignments as directed by Head, Business Enterprises & Application.
Qualification and Requirement:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage

  • Certification in Project management is an advantage.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft technologies including Exchange, Windows Servers and Active Directory and the O365 suite of applications

Data Centre Administrator

This job role ensures adequate capacity and availability of the Data Centers infrastructure supports the business needs.

  • Manages IBEDC Data Centre infrastructure and environments.  
  • Assist in developing Data Centre operational procedures, processes and ensures compliance.  
  • Analyses Data Centre incidents and executes corrective actions.  
  • Implements Data Centre infrastructure maintenance.  
  • Monitors Data Centre facilities and ensures adequate uptime.   
  • Manage vendor relationship and services rendered.
  • Keeps abreast of current trends and provide recommendations for improvements of the Data Centre operations.
  • Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholder.
  • Carry out other sundry assignments as directed by Lead Data Center Administrator.

Qualification and Requirement:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage
  • Professional certifications is required.
  • 1 to 3 years working experience in Data Centre Operations, Technology, Engineering or Communication systems.

Lead, Data Centre Administrator

This job role ensures adequate capacity and availability of the Data Centers infrastructure supports the business needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and manages Data Centre infrastructure and environments.  
  • Supervise Data Centre administrators’ activities and ensure prompt resumption for duty shifts.  
  • Develops and establishes Data Centre operational procedures, processes and ensures compliance by Data Centre Administrators.  
  • Provide Data Centre capacity planning and ensure availability needs are met.
  • Manages disaster recovery site for the company and ensures the agreed SLA targets are met.  
  • Coordinates and reviews Data Centre incidents and supervise corrective actions.  
  • Coordinates Data Centre infrastructure maintenance.  
  • Monitors Data Centre facilities and ensures adequate uptime.   
  • Manage vendor relationship and services rendered.
  • Keeps abreast of current trends and provide recommendations for improvements of the Data Centre operations.  
  • Performs discovery management for hardware and software assets in an automated fashion.
  • Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholder.
  • Carry out other sundry assignments as directed by Head, IT infrastructure.
Qualification and Requirement:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage
  • Professional certifications are required.
  • Certification in Project management is an advantage.
  • At least, 5 years working experience in Data Centre Operations, Technology, Engineering or Communication systems.
