IKÚ BÀBÁ YEYE AT 82.
To live long is a prayer always said by young and old, and for our father, His Imperial Majesty, Ọba Làmídì Ọláyíwọlá Adéyemí III, the Aláàfin of Ọ̀yọ́, reaching 82 years is only by the grace of God.
Over the decades, Kabiyesi has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Ọ̀yọ́ and her inhabitants. He has assisted and advised governments at all levels in ensuring deserved dividends are brought to the people.
It is a privilege to celebrate Aláàfin on a day like this, and I pray for his renewed strength, for longer life and enablement to continually make impact, as his wisdom and wealth of experience remain valuable to all and sundry.
I felicitate with Aláàfin’s Dynasty as a whole, my colleague Hon Akeem Adéyemí (Skimeh), the good people of Ọ̀yọ́ town, and by extension, the wonderful people of Ọ̀yọ́ state as we celebrate our father, who is a traditional legend and icon.
May Aláàfin continue to wax strong and may Ọ̀yọ́ grow in leaps and bounds under his kingship and beyond, Àmín.
