A Concerned youth group of the peoples Democratic party in Ibadan South-East Local Government frown and raise alarm over a Candidate imposition, perceived to be Injustice.
The group in a statement made available to Akéde Ọ̀yọ́ On Sunday expressed concern on different tasks being tried by a few set of leader’s in the local government to impose one of the Aspirants over the interest of the People.
The purported rumor that went viral in the local government area some days ago has exposed the plot by some greedy leaders to impose one of the Chairmanship Aspirants in Ibadan South-East local government.
As part of their strategies to have their way in the forthcoming LG election, the said leaders and aspirants duplicate the executive and delegate list of the party who emerge at the last local Government Congress, which was seen as injustice, indiscipline and disrespect to the party.
One of the youth who voted in the same polling unit with one of the leaders said they are set of leaders who work against Engr. Seyi Makinde in the last general election but the will of Almighty Allah previewed their will.
Issues raising concern for the entire party members of Ibadan South-East local government PDP Chapter remain imposition, impunity by duplicating ward and local Government executives and delegate list.
The youth of the party said they won’t fold their arms, watching individuals or groups to push the party beyond the edge, there is a very urgent need to correct a lot of abnormalities in Ibadan South-East local government Chapter of PDP.
Concerned youth group of the party, we firmly stand against any form of imposition and we equally respect the aspiration of all contestants who have worked tirelessly day and night in preparation of the Primary Election. This is a situation that has to be brought to an end and we are sending a strong warning to anyone who is hiding beneath a veneer of some status, whether he’s a government officer’s, aides to political office holder to ensure caution in their imposition plans, we also promise we will make a primary election to pick the candidate of the party a free and fair one.
We implore minority leader of the party who are presenting the group to take caution and kindly withdraw from any acts that might have a negative impact on our party, PDP as such plot of imposition on the people of the party and Ibadan South-East community and environment can not stand to see the light of the day.
