I’ll Work For Oyo People Till Midnight Of May 28, 2027, There Will Be No Backlog Of Pensions, Gratuities —Makinde

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has assured residents that his administration will continue to serve the interest of people who gave him their mandate till the midnight of May 28, 2027.

The Governor stated this on Thursday at the year 2023 Civil Service Awards held at Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, University College Hospital, Ibadan.

 

According to Goalpoacher News Governor Makinde state that his administration will not owe backlog of pensions and gratuities. His words:

“People say second term governors don’t work. As for me, we will work until the midnight of 28th of May, 2027.

 

“And within the next four years, there will be no backlog of pensions and gratuities in Oyo State. You can record it and play it back.

“There will still be electioneering in four years time but I may not be on the ballot.

“Some people will be on the ballot and if I am supporting anyone, hold me accountable to those words that I have uttered here today. Once again, I congratulate the awardees.”

The event was attended by Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal and top government functionaries.
